New Executive Director
On behalf of the Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) Board of Directors, we are pleased to welcome back Tim Gondek as Executive Director, effective January 15, 2013.
Over the past year, the OSSA members have been seeking new ways to collaborate and accelerate the industry towards world class safety performance. Tim is returning to this role due to a renewed focus within the industry and a strong desire by the companies to create a breakthrough in performance.
“Tim brings a unique perspective to this role,” said Peter Janson, OSSA board chair and CNRL senior vice president, Horizon Operations. “His in-depth knowledge of OSSA, strong industry relationships and clear understanding of the challenges and opportunities make him an excellent choice to return to OSSA and help the industry achieve this breakthrough.”
Tim spent 5 years with OSSA before moving to Suncor Energy as Director, Oil Sands Health & Safety. Tim has 24 years of industry experience and his passion for safety will ensure OSSA can continue to move forward on its objectives.
